I didn't even have cell phone reception in the ENTIRE town of Millersburg. I guess that can give you an idea of how far out there it was. Let me just say the racing was awesome: everyone was aggressive, there was a pretty large field for a women's stage race, there were strong teams there that made it exciting, and I finally got to do a fairly long road race (54 miles). Even though I was just one or two places shy of the money, I'm happy that I got a couple of upgrade points for the weekend. I got to hang out with a lot of my friends that don't live near me so it was great.
I think my TTing has improved since my hideous first one at Fitchburg. The crit was a lot of fun, and I quickly learned the advantage of having a team to support you. I tried to keep track who were the top GC contenders but I started getting confused after a while. The roadrace was fun and gorgeous out in the farmland. I was pretty pissed after coming into the feedzone after my second lap only to find that the guy that I asked to give me a feed was not holding my bottle. I NEEDED that bottle. I later found out that some lady grabbed my bottle (not knowing what was in it or whose it was) and gave my bottle (which had my name on it) to her husband in the master's race. I almost bitched her out because of all the adrenalin in my system after the race but practiced my non-attachment.
My favorite part of the weekend was when we were out in the cornfields during the road race, and these guys who were watching yelled, "I want to date all of you!!"
