Adrenalin

Boston was fun.I like Philly but I wouldn't mind going to school there. It might get colder sooner though. I thought this week would suck since it would be the second one still on the disabled list. But it's interesting to see what fun things I came up with when I'm broke and bored. My visit to the surgeon's office was the highlight that ended with him saying, "you may bike until your heart's content."

So, I went biking. It was the first time I have taken my roadbike out since the surgery. I shouldn't be riding this thing in the streets because all I want to do is go fast on it. Then again, it's fun to ride fast through the city. I got some hills in for the first time in about 3 weeks, and I have to say, my knee feels alot better without that meniscus floating around in there. No more edema.

I'm going to St. Louis, MO tomorrow to visit my Grandma Pat, Uncle Roger, my brother, and my dad, among other relatives. I can't believe that I feel like 3 days is such a long time to be away from my bike. I think that's more time that I was off the bike immediately post-surgery. St. Louis is always interesting. My family there is interesting. I can't say anything but for the fact that they're very American. Here is Roger's bride-to-be making homemade White Castles during xmas:My brother always doesn't wake up until the afternoon, picks a fight, and then goes out all night to do drugs. I hear he's bringing a pitbull puppy this time. He wants to make money breeding it. Maybe I can get them to take me to a bike shop while I'm there. Then again, none of my relatives own a bike. They're content with their SUVs and giant trucks.
